Our meditation gatherings, dharma talks and other activities are open to all. We always like to see new faces and old friends. Our facility is wheelchair accessible, we have a sound system for those with hearing impairments, and service dogs are welcome. Our members are friendly and helpful to everyone who comes in our door. Please join us! Aspirations and Values We are a community that aspires to end suffering through the realization of the Buddha’s Noble Eightfold Path. We are guided by the following principles and practices: The Buddha’s gradual training of generosity, ethical conduct and cultivation of awareness. The Brahma Viharas: compassion, loving kindness, appreciative joy and equanimity. Freely offering the teachings to all who are seeking, without exception. Communication that is true, appropriate and kind. Compassionate action through service. ABOUT US New to AIMC? Here is some information we hope you will find helpful as a visitor or new member of our community: Please leave your shoes in the entryway as you enter. Help yourself to filtered water in the kitchen area; hot tea is available during longer meetings and retreats. Please observe noble silence when you enter the meditation hall. This silence provides an opportunity to cultivate mindfulness and awareness of our experience in a deeper way. We have chairs or cushions for sitting. Please make yourself comfortable, and let us know if we can assist you in any way.
